Shannon Marshall LCSW

Shannon Marshall believes in a creating an open and caring environment, free of judgment. She focuses on a client’s strengths and use cognitive behavioral therapy and psychoanalytic theory to help them understand their behaviors, decisions and unconscious processes. She has, and always will be committed to every client that she sees. "I believe there is always hope to live a healthier, happier life. I am committed to assisting you in that journey."

Shannon graduated from Stony Brook University with an MSW, and later earned her LCSW. She is a Certified Palliative Care Social Worker. Member of the NASW (National Association of Social Workers). She has a strong background in hospital social work; specifically trauma, emergency medicine-pediatrics, neurology, and oncology. 

As of November 2019 Shannon has successfully completed her certificate program in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) in the treatment of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder.  Shannon will have completed her studies and training in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) come May 2020. Upon completion she will pursue her certification with the Linehan Institute.
